Shirley Rutherford of Bowie, Texas gave us a wonderful lecture and trunk show. She and Donna Roth also judged our quilt show. Donna assisted Shirley in the trunk show. 2011 is well underway. We are looking forward to a prosperous year for the guild.Our last meeting of 2010 was our Christmas party December 11. WCQG had donations from the community and members to help fill the care packages for our Military. The 2nd Battalion, 10th Mountain Division Bravo Company, stationed in Iraq since Oct 2009. Last month we met for the first time in our new meeting place at the Church of Christ in Bridgeport, Texas. We are very thankful to the church for allowing us to use their fellowship hall for our meetings.Our next meeting is slated for May 16, 2009. After our business meeting we are scheduled to cut charm squares from green fabric that coordinates with the fabric leftover from our donation quilt.
